In this week&#8217;s saga, I&#8217;m sharing how to air fry salmon. It&#8217;s SO good! So quick! Full of flavor! And it&#8217;s cooked well, but not dry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a new favorite at our house for sure. This air fryer salmon recipe is quick and easy as well as healthy. I must admit that I prefer fresh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But, as I only grocery shop once a week or less during this season of my life, having lots of dinner options I can pull from our freezer just makes sense for us. So, we do both just depending what we have on hand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To air fry frozen salmon all you have to do is thaw it first. Otherwise, it&#8217;s no different than air frying fresh, unfrozen salmon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-thaw-frozen-salmon\"><strong>How to Thaw Frozen Salmon:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can thaw frozen salmon a couple of ways, but what I usually do is (if it&#8217;s packaged inside a sealed bag, the filet itself) I will put it in a bowl with very warm water in our sink. This typically takes anywhere from 5-8 minutes depending on the size of filet. Spices I like include: garlic powder or salt, seasoning salt, Italian seasoning, cayenne, pepper, lemon pepper,&nbsp;smoked paprika&nbsp;or cajun seasoning. If you are unsure, start with salt and pepper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ingredients\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Salmon fillets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Black pepper<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Olive oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lemon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"schema-faq wp-block-yoast-faq-block\"><h2 class=\"custom-faq-title\">Frequently Asked Questions<\/h2><details class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1676064440132\"><summary><h3 class=\"schema-faq-question\"><strong>Do you leave the skin on before air frying salmon?<\/strong><\/h3><\/summary> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">Yes, I do. I leave the skin on for the entire process. I remove the skin before eating (so I even leave the skin on when serving).<\/p> <\/details> <details class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1676064472070\"><summary><h3 class=\"schema-faq-question\"><strong>Do you have to flip salmon when air frying?<\/strong><\/h3><\/summary> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">No, I don&#8217;t. I cook the salmon skin side down (so the skin is touching the air fryer or parchment paper) and I don&#8217;t flip it while it cooks. <\/p> <\/details> <details class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1676064492559\"><summary><h3 class=\"schema-faq-question\">Can you use parchment paper in the air fryer?<\/h3><\/summary> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">Yes, you can. First, you can lightly brush the air fryer basket grate with oil before adding the salmon and cooking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The other option is to use parchment paper. Yes, you can use <a href=\"https:\/\/rstyle.me\/+zrsbWJmsD7bgyMPzKJqYeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">parchment paper<\/a> in your air fryer. I find this cooks the fish perfection, without drying it out.
